WEDDING STORY · LICHFIELD
Two people in love, the family and friends who adore them, and one beautiful Saturday. Lichfield Register Office and Fishley Park, 5 September 2026.

THE DAY
A day full of love.
Saturday 5 September 2026 was filled with love from the very first smile to the very last song. Kelly and Andrew were married at Lichfield Register Office, surrounded by the people who mean the most to them, and you could feel how happy everyone was to be there. I was with them from the ceremony onwards, so every look, every squeeze of the hand and every happy tear was caught exactly as it happened. Afterwards they slipped out into Lichfield for relaxed portraits in the gardens and streets, finishing beneath the three spires of the cathedral. As evening came, the celebrations moved to Fishley Park in Pelsall, Walsall, where the cake was cut, Kelly and Andrew shared their first dance, and the dance floor stayed full of laughter under a glowing “LOVE” sign. It was, quite simply, a day made of love.

THE CEREMONY · LICHFIELD REGISTER OFFICE
Lichfield Register Office wedding ceremony
A bright, happy ceremony room full of the people who love them most. Kelly walks in, Andrew waits with the biggest smile, and in that moment everything else falls away. There are tender vows, rings placed with care, hands held tightly, a first kiss as husband and wife, and a laugh at the signing table that I wouldn’t have missed for the world.

Family, friends and happy faces all around.

Rings, held hands and a first kiss as husband and wife.

AFTER THE CEREMONY
Wedding portraits in Lichfield
Once the ceremony was done, we stepped outside into the summer light. Kelly and Andrew wandered through Lichfield’s gardens and streets, completely wrapped up in each other, while I caught the in-between moments: foreheads together, a lift off the ground, a dip on the lawn, quiet kisses and a final embrace beneath the cathedral spires. These are the pictures that show exactly how it felt to be them that day.

The gardens from above, where the portraits began.

Wandering hand in hand, completely wrapped up in each other.

Garden colours and quiet moments in between.

THE EVENING · FISHLEY PARK, PELSALL
Fishley Park wedding reception
From there, the party headed to Fishley Park, and guests joined for the evening. The cake was cut, and the first dance followed straight away, with Kelly and Andrew lost in the moment while everyone who loves them gathered around. The rest of the night belonged to laughter, dancing and a glowing “LOVE” sign that said it all.

Then the party began.

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY IN LICHFIELD & PELSALL
Why Lichfield works so beautifully for weddings
Lichfield is a lovely place for wedding photographs. Between the gardens, the historic streets and the three spires of the cathedral, there is plenty of variety for relaxed portraits without taking the couple away from their guests for long. Kelly and Andrew’s portraits show exactly that, from the flower beds to the cathedral views.
After the ceremony at Lichfield Register Office, the evening moved to Fishley Park in Pelsall, where the dance floor, the cake cutting and that glowing “LOVE” sign gave the night a warm, lively feel. I photograph weddings like this naturally and unobtrusively, so the day is remembered the way it felt.
