WEDDING STORY · SUTTON COLDFIELD
Love, laughter and golden light at Lea Marston Hotel in Sutton Coldfield. Saturday 1 August 2026.

THE DAY
A day full of love.
Saturday 1 August 2026 was a day of love, laughter and golden summer light. Karl and Sarah were married in the outdoor garden area of Lea Marston Hotel in Sutton Coldfield, surrounded by family and friends, and the happiness was there from the very first moment. I arrived in the afternoon for the getting ready, where the bridal suite was full of laughter, hugs and last-minute details. Then came the ceremony, the congratulations, relaxed portraits as the sun dropped low over the grounds, speeches, and a first dance that led into a joyful night on the dance floor. It was a day made of love, and an absolute joy to photograph.

AFTER THE CEREMONY
Couple portraits in the hotel gardens
Once the ceremony was done, Karl and Sarah slipped away into the hotel grounds. We used the gardens, the gazebo and the golden evening light for relaxed, natural portraits: walking together, close moments, a dip and a twirl in the low sun.

Quiet kisses and close moments, just the two of them.

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY IN SUTTON COLDFIELD
Why Lea Marston Hotel works so beautifully for weddings
Lea Marston Hotel in Sutton Coldfield has gardens, a gazebo and open lawns that suit relaxed, natural wedding photography. For Karl and Sarah, that meant an outdoor ceremony in the hotel’s own grounds, warm light for portraits and plenty of space to capture the day without it ever feeling staged.
From the bridal suite to the dance floor, I photograph the day as it unfolds, so Karl and Sarah’s story is told through real moments, not poses.
